Phahon Yothin Subway :: Description

The Phahon Yothin subway station is located at the intersection of 3 major roads: the Vipawadi-Rangsit expressway (north-south), Phahon Yothin Rd. (north-south at a slight angle), and Lad Phrao Rd. (east-west). This is a business and commercial area, with some highrise condominiums and lowrise apartment buildings north up Phahon Yothin.

The Chatuchak / Mochit interchange station with the nicer Chatuchak Park is just one station away and not far in distance, but the great intersection is a major barrier to divide the two.

St. John's University is located on Vipawadi-Rangsit Road and has its own subway station entrance/exit. You can't see it because it's located behind the Lad Phrao facade on the opposite side of Lad Phrao road from these photos. There are many students in the shopping malls and the area in general, and probably most but not all of them are St. Johns students.
