Fashion Island is a very large, nice shopping mall in Bangkapi-Minburi next to the East Ring Road at the corner of the Ram Indra exit.
As its name implies, it has some fashion clothes, but it also has a wide variety of other things, including many furniture stores on the top level albeit not the most fashionable furniture.
It has a good variety of restaurants scattered around, plus a nice sprawling food court for cheap but good food in a nice environment (several photos here are of the same food court). Most food courts of other malls are rather plain in comparison.
I would not call this one of Bangkok's premier malls, but it's definitely a full featured shopping mall with a whole lot to offer, and with its own unique character.
Getting in and out from the Eastern Ring Road is quick and easy, and the parking lots are big enough that you normally have no hassle finding a parking spot.
