One of the oldest expat restaurants and pubs on Sukhumvit (between 19 and 30 years, depending on who I spoke with), The Witch's Tavern is still a highly popular place with an established clientele.
I dined there on Saturday night, September 22, 2007. I found the food to be reasonably priced. The pizza was cheesy with good ham and pepperoni, and the service was quick, but the salad was disappointing (at 200 baht).
The service was prompt, but the waitress assigned to me couldn't understand me in either English or Thai and often badly misunderstood me, so double-check your order.
After having a large beer I asked for a water and got a bottle of Aura for 70 baht.
A live band many nights plays on a small stage, and there are TV screens around.
The band was mediocre, but at least it wasn't too loud.
On that Saturday night, most tables downstairs were full, upstairs nearly empty.
