Victory Monument counts as the major transportation hub for Bangkok, where Skytrain, almost all bus lines, expressway, and private express vans to many places all come together in a big roundabout with concentric rings. It has street markets and lots of outdoor food and light drinking, especially at night. No luxury highrises, just cheap Thai housing in back alleys. Long elevated walkway, and two very basic little shopping malls.
